Meet Chad Unger, a visual artist from Maryland currently living and working in New York City. His photography, gritty and intimate by nature, captures unique moments and mixed compositions, offering a look inside his world. Come with us and see Vancouver through his lens as we spend a weekend with him shooting film.
“I grew up deaf, had a deaf family, had access to language and went to college. My perspective is that I’m no different than anybody else.”
“I accepted the communication barrier as more of a "challenge" rather than a barrier. That helped me grow a lot as a person, as a photographer.
“When I take a photo I want to capture the feeling of that moment. I want the viewer to feel what I felt when I took that photo.”
